Online Bible Programs

If don't know if anyone else has tried Quick Verse? I had the opportunity of using it for a class taught by a colleague of mine who teaches at Pacific Lutheran University. It is supposed to be excellent for serious language translation and study of Greek and Hebew words. I definately think this is a fascinating area, but the price on this is $700. I think you'd have a be a true Bible scholar to want to invest that much money in knowing the Word of God. Or maybe if you were a classroom teacher or homeschool teacher it makes it a lot more valuable, because so many individuals can benefit so much.

If anyone has tried it let me know how you feel about it, thanks.

Another serious option is Bible Works. At $349, it's half the price of Quick Verse, and it has the same essential features. Quick Verse has more in terms of study planning and bible study guides, but it doesn't offer any more than Bible Works in terms of textual analysis. The other cool thing about Bible Works is that it has fantastic maps of the Holy Land, and it cross references them nicely with cities and other places mentioned in the scripture.

If you could afford it, it would be an excellent idea for a Christmas gift, or even for a Christian classroom.
